Edelweiss

Finally found out the title of this song and I immediately went looking for it.
This was the song sang by the Captain in the Sound of Music.

Edelweiss, edelweiss,
every morning you greet me
small and white,
clean and bright,
you look happy to meet me

blossom of snow
may you bloom and grow,
bloom and grow forever
edelweiss, edelweiss,
bless my home-land forever.

  • Nice song... This song was the last song that Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II would write together. Hammerstein was at the time suffering from the terminal stomach cancer of which he would die nine months after The Sound of Music opened on Broadway.

But is seldom to see young guys like u love classical song. :)

Actually, I like classical more than the current musicals style which is lack of feeling and meaning. Btw, tips to find the song title can be easy.

Google it with "[a part of lyrics]" (double quotation include)
Try one or two different phrase should get it. Or reverse search the from the info that u know.
~ advice from Google freak... HAHAHA

  • wow, considering that you knew so much details about this song, you must'd liked it very much

and yea, I do enjoy classical songs but not all classical songs. I find some pretty boring.

But some current songs are meaningful too. I think it's just a matter of understanding the meaning of the songs and lyrics.

Hahaha... me young? Maybe I still am, but I already feel old by heart.... muahahaha
