Stary stary night... no more

I noticed lately whenever I looked up the skies at night. You don't see stars anymore. Just the moon. Even that is only when the timing is right. I guess I was fortunate when I saw a full moon 2 days ago.... and that was like... ages since I last saw it.

Anyway, the stars... so how come I haven't been able to see them? Were they blocked by the thick poluted clouds? Or have they 'floated' too far away from Earth for us to see them again?

It's always nice to be able to see the stars filling up the sky instead of just an empty vacumn up above.

  • That's because you don't look up enough, my dear... And because 2 nights ago was the 15th of the lunar month. :)

The stars are still there... We've just become too busy to notice them anymore since we're so busy being earth-bound.

  • no no... because I've been actually looking up the skies these couple of nights... as I've been leaving my office late lately.

    that's why I noticed, I didn't see any stars.

so, has anyone of you seen it lately?

  • hhhmmm... that's odd

or maybe it's just my part of the world that I couldn't see any stars

or my timing is not right

  • To see many stars you need to be a correct time and correct place.

Yes, poluted air can block your view but so as to thin cloud, humidity. Btw, artificial light (made by human :P) will obstruct your sight as well.

I still miss the Mt. Kinabalu view at a clear night at about 2 am. first time i saw so many stars...
But it also depends to the weather at Mt. Kina.

  • I went KK w/o any preparation and trainning. Due to stupid bombing at Bali Island.

Totally unplaned. As a result couldn't reach the summit. The worst is walk like duck for > 1 week. Mt. Kina, I will be back :P

    BTW, Happy CNY.
