Getting blur or getting old?

Sigh... talking about enjoying ones weekend. Mine did not start well today. This morning when I woke up, I saw the alarm clock and was shocked. I thought I was late for work, so I quickly got up to get myself ready for work. Only then I realised... that today's a Saturday. Stupid me... this stupid fool here thought it was a weekend weekday. Sigh!!!

So I just dragged myself to bed again. Maybe I missed work too much already. Really... am I getting blur or am I getting old and forgetful?

Amigos para siempre

I've always loved this song, just that never did get the chance to find the lyrics because I never knew the title. And now that I've found it, here's the link to the actual site. Beautiful song. And please remember to read the endnote.

Sarah Brightman & José Carreras - Amigos para siempre

(Friends for life)

Sarah

I don't have to say
A word to you
You seem to know
Whatever mood
I'm going through
Feels as though
I've known you forever

José

You
Can look into my eyes and see
The way I feel
And how
The world is treating me
Maybe I have known you forever

both

Amigos para siempre
Means you'll always be my friend
Amics per sempre
Means a love that cannot end
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

I feel you near me
Even when we are apart
Just knowing you are in this world
Can warm my heart
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

Sarah

We share memories
I won't forget
And we'll share more,
My friend,
We haven't started yet
Something happens
When we're together

José

When
I look at you
I wonder why
There has to come
A time when we must say goodbye
I'm alive when we are together

both

Amigos para siempre
Means you'll always be my friend
Amics per sempre
Means a love that cannot end
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

I feel you near me
Even when we are apart
Just knowing you are in this world
Can warm my heart
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

José

When
I look at you
I wonder why
There has to come
A time when we must say goodbye

both

I'm alive when we are together

Amigos para siempre
Means you'll always be my friend
Amics per sempre
Means a love that cannot end
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

I feel you near me
Even when we are apart
Just knowing you are in this world
Can warm my heart
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre

Amigos para siempre
Means you'll always be my friend
Amics per sempre
Means a love that cannot end
Friends for life
Not just a summer or a spring
Amigos para siempre
Amigos para siempre

Vegetarian Spagetthi

Yesterday was 'Sam Yut Chor Yat'... the 1st day of the 3rd month. So one of my colleague and I went to the temple opposite Chorus Hotel was a vegetarian lunch. We walked there as it's near our client office where I'm still currently based at.

I've been to that place a couple of times, and this was the first time I see them selling spagetthi. So my colleague and I gave it a try. Taste so much like the spagetthi we would have outside, only minused the minced pork or chicken we used to have. Only problem is that they served too much gravy, so you'll feel very stuffed after that. I couldn't taste the cheese so I don't think they added any.

The last time here, I tasted the Looi Char for the first time too. Had such a difficult time chewing all those vegetables. And the soup taste kind of funny too. Maybe it's because I'm not used to eating it.

FBS Kick-off Dinner 2007/2008

I guess some of you would have known that my company was merging. The merger with another subsidiary under the Formis Resources Berhad, Bass Consulting was completed after an announcement was made to KLSE earlier this month when our new financial year begins, carrying the new name, Formis Bass Software (FBS).

Unlike last year, the new financial year kick-off dinner was held as a group while this year, each subsidiary held their own kick-off dinner. So ours was held at Hard Rock Cafe, KL, last night after the kick-off meeting by our GM. I guess at a time like this, the food would interest everyone more than the meeting.

I took the opportunity to practise using my camera, especially with the flash off. I've yet to use the scene modes.

LogoI tried taking the 2 logos side-by-side. Didn't turn out as well as expected. But at least you could still tell the 2.

The various photos...

While most of us were there for the food, the more happening ones played with the door gifts, helium balloons and the games arranged. One person however, did this:

Because it was a weekday, the whole thing ended pretty early.

Misc.

Ok... firstly, I just realised that this would be my 100th post, and this month makes my blog 2 years old as well. What a coincidence for both.

Also, today, I went to PC Fair on my own for the 2nd time in as many days and got myself this:
Nikon Coolpix L11

A brand new Nikon Coolpix L11 for RM 599, perhaps a bargain when elsewhere was at RM 688, with a little more freebis as well. I even went to 2 camera shops in Section 14, PJ to confirm this. Anyway here are the specs. This model was only released in February 2007, so it's still a very recent model in the market.

When I went to PC Fair yesterday with a few friends, I never intended to buy anything. Was just wandering around until I saw what was on display and the promotion they have. For the basic model and for that price, the little 'sexy' thing has almost everything I was looking for and with an acceptable quality and no. of features.

Of all the bells and whistles, the feature I love best was the Continous shot feature, where I just need to press the shutter and it'll keep snapping until I release it. No image stabiliser, so I'll have to make sure my hands don't shake when taking the photos. I'll definately be able to post more photos from now on.... hehehe :D

I think I now know why

This morning, I woke up with a little flu and running nose. So I guess I now know why I was feeling so odd yesterday. I guess it's some kind of symptom my body was trying to tell me. Either that, or someone must be awfully thinking a lot of me since I was sneezing the whole morning. Felt much better soon after that I could go to work by then...

hhmm.... it's a good thing that the sneezing has stop. Otherwise, I will have to take an MC already :D

The feeling of not feeling right

This morning I woke up feeling...
A little blur, a little weird, a little abnormal.
I have no idea why.

Not sure if I was sick. 'Cos there was no fever.
Not sure if I was feeling dizzy. 'Cos I could still walk straight.
Not sure if I was having a headache. 'Cos it didn't feel like an ache.
Not sure if I was tired. 'Cos I also felt sudden refreshment.
Not sure if I was excited. 'Cos I felt sudden tiredness.
I just wasn't sure why. The feeling just wasn't right.

Perhaps I was lazy.
Perhaps I was bored.
Perhaps I just want to laze.
Perhaps it's just one of those days.
Where I just want to stay at home.
Yet, I don't want to stay home.
I can't stand doing nothing.
I can't bare sitting around, feeling useless.

Hhmmm...
Somehow or rather, this post is becoming like a poem.
Am I becoming crazy or am I becoming weird?
I just don't know. I just feel blur.
I just wasn't sure why. The feeling just wasn't right.

An eventful week

This has been a week of events. Hahaha XD

Sunday, April 1: Happy April's Fool!!!! And also one of my Kung Fu friend's birthday. Yes, it's true. This is no April Fool joke. She was born on April 1st. So Happy Birthday to her. That night, my brother and I had our birthday dinner with our family at the Village Chicken Restaurant, SS2. But it was a dinner we had to pay and not being paid for :(

Thursday, April 5: Haha.. my brother's and my birthday. There's no need to write much about this. It was all written in the previous post already. My parents visited my paternal great grandfather's tomb today as well for Ching Ming.

Friday, April 6: Good Friday, the Friday before Easter. This is the day when Jesus was crucified. Coincidentally, it was also the birthday (based on the Chinese calendar) of the Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin. Here's the article from The Star reporting on the joint occasion. That night, my parents left for Kota Bharu, Kelantan by KTM to visit my maternal grandparent's tomb for Ching Ming. It's been years since I visited Kota Bharu.

Saturday, April 7: A day without my parents at home. Yes!!! Peace and quiet for a while. I don't mean to be mean or anything, but my father is like a loud speaker. His voice is really loud. Sometimes so loud till it's annoying when you need quiet moments. Done practically nothing the whole day. Because the weather was excellent today, I've decided to go for a jog at the nearby park. Gosh, my stamina has deteriorated so much that I could hardly complete a lap around the park without some moments of walking. It was more of a 3/4 jogging, 1/4 walking (",) My brother? He was just too lazy to move his butt. So he stayed home to play computer games.

Sunday, April 8: My parents returned this morning. Picked them up from the Taman Paramount LRT Station... at 8am. Rats!!! Was so soundly asleep when they called when they were at KL Sentral Station near 7.30am. In the afternoon, watched Formula 1 Grand Prix... hahaha. These days, watching F1 is the only thing I do on Sunday afternoons, with the comfort of my house. Wonder what would I have done on such hot day today had there been no F1? The weather was so hot today what I had to take a bath twice. Felt so refreshing after that ;0)

Happy Birthday!!!

To Me!!!!!

Hahaha... yes I know... it's a little mou liu to be wishing myself. It's not that I'm not getting birthday wishes. 24 years of age, quite special this year as it's the Year of the Boar as well... my year

The first 2 wishes this year was via Friendster testimonials which was submitted and approved days earlier. The rest are from SMSes and MSNs. 2 person actually called me (no one has ever called me on my b'day before), though one was more of a scolding after I teased her 'un-t' cause she called me 'siu de de' over the SMS XD.

She might be 6 days older than me and if she's that 'old' enough to called me that, it means that she's also 'old' enough to be known as what I teased her for.... muahahahahaha... LMAO !!!!

She even promised to bake me a cake some time back though I'm pretty sure she'd forgotten about it... hehehe (",) By the way, her present is still with me b'cos I didn't get to meet her to pass them to her... let's see if she gets the hint from this post... muahahahaha ;D

Something to note about my birthday. It falls on the exact day of Ching Ming. A Chinese Ritual Day where we would pray at our ancestor's tomb. On leap years, the prayers are performed on April 4th. Yes I know, people are busier preparing for the ritual than to remember my birthdays. The ritual is 1 of the 2 Chinese events that follows the modern calendar instead of the Chinese calendar and I have no idea why.

I've not celebrated my b'day in years. Not with my family nor friends. Sometimes, my family would just go out for dinner like this year, though I was the one buying them dinner last Sunday on April's Fool instead of them buying me dinner.

Oh... and this year, I got 2 er "song" dedication too... one via Friendster message (an ex-female colleague) while another via MSN chat (from a male colleague) this morning.

Both was very similar and here's the one via Friendster:

happy birthday to you~~~~
happy birthday to you~~~~
happy birthday to chun eng~~~~
happy birthday to you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

fast fast clap your hand la!!!

ok, now close your eyes and make a wish. hope your dream come true.

OMG *sob sob... touching-nya !!!! Dunno what to say lar... Hahaha...

And if this isn't enough, my niece from Gold Coast also posted a huge message into our just created family MSN Group. This kind of annouced to the family from all around the world about my birthday... none of which actually knew when my birthday is. If I remember correctly, she asked me this sometime ago. She must'd have noted it somewhere... hahaha.

There was a funny incident when we chatted over MSN 2 days ago and here's the text (it runs off a little as I can't remember the text exactly):

B: it's your birthday tomorrow
Eng: no it's not
B: but you told me it's the 5th
Eng: yes I did... but tmr's the 4th
B: oh...

Hahaha... so blur of her. Her own 16th birthday just past too... late last month.

PS: The 'un-t' kept complaining over the phone that my blog is SO SO SO BORING!!!! So I just post something about my b'day and tried to make it as funny as possible. So dear..... ya happy??!!! Hahaha XD
