What have I done...!!!

After my trip to China, there was supposed to be another world level competition to be held in Singapore from Nov 10 - 11, 2006 and I was supposed to have competed in it. I knew of this one day before I left for China but I could not immediately response because I need to make sure I could apply a leave for it.

After I returned from China, I was met with the Deepavali and Hari Raya holidays so I had to further delay my response in which, my sifu, Alex had already registered my entry (but without making any payment). So should I am unable to compete, I just have to inform him and he'll make up an excuse that I could not go... maybe that I was injured or because I had to work or something. I soon realised that the competition clashes with 2 of my company events and that forced me to withdraw my participation. One was a project meeting that I will most likely have to attend and my company's mid-year annual dinner.

This time, Tiffany is again competing. So on the eve of the competition (Nov 9, night) when she saw the list, my names were there with both my events to be held on Sat, Nov 11. She informed me about it. Apparently, my application was submitted and registration was made. Both the company events were held on Friday, Nov 10, meeting during the day, dinner during the night. So theoritically, I could still take a midnight bus to Singapore and compete in my 2 events on Saturday. And practically, it was indeed possible.

When I found out, I was in quite a dilemma. Should I compete or should I not since I haven't been training at all after China. While I was very eager to go, I had doubts. I could not decide. So I let fate to make the decision. I had my things ready, all packed and ready to go. What is left is the bus ticket. If tickets are available, then I'll go, if not, then I'll let it be.

The next day (Friday), my father helped me enquired about the tickets and he got a midnight bus for me. So fate has helped me decide. It's been confirmed. I am going to Singapore. I left early after the dinner, skipping the rest of the performances, making my way to the Old Railway Station in KL. Now Singapore, here I come...

Man, going into a world level competition at the very last moment and without preparation and training... this has got to be the craziest thing I've done so far in my life... fortunately, it is only Singapore and not some other country far far away.

Details... coming soon once I've got the photos ready. I did not bring any camera along this time.
